Major wall envy.
A branch, twine and your favorite bouquet is all you need to create this bold + chic floral backdrop.
A pretty easy DIY- but be prepared to carve out some time as it does require patience and commitment.
The in-season greens + florals were found at my local Whole Foods and the branch was found on the tree in the parking lot, ha. I have always LOVED the idea of a flower wall and I had no idea where I was going with it when I started, I just went with it.
My floral garland contains
- Baby breath sprigs
Making your garland is easy. Start off by tying a knot at the top of the branch with your twine. Use floral clippers or scissors to cut the floral to your liking, and then knot the stem.
I left some spaces in between my greens/florals because I like the sparse look. Totally up to you.
To hang on the wall, I tied twine about 8-9 inches from the tip on each end (this helps with weight distribution. Originally I had the twine at the end of each branch but it bowed and almost snapped when I hung it.
I secured the hanging garland on the wall with a white thumbtack. & that’s it! A whimsical cascade of florals.
